Tim's father and mother met while studying at the Academy. Tim's mother is a Romulan whose father defected into the Federation when she was six years old. Romulans killed Joanne Stricker’s mother and several of her siblings as they tried to cross the border into Federation territory.
After her father's death 10 years later, she changed her name to Joanne, an Earth female name. Her middle name is T’Lok, her original Romulan name. Joanne’s father was an Admiral in the Tal Shiar named Payvik. Joanne and Payvik were the only survivors of the attack to get into Federation space. Tim's father comes from a long line of Starfleet officers going back to the time of the creation of the Federation and even before. Tim's brother named Terrence is an XO of the Memorial ship for their father who was killed in action. The ship is named the
USS Kingston. His mother, a retired Metaphysical Scientist, Botanist and Diplomatic Aide, retired to Rigel 4 where Tim's family lived for several years as Tim grew up |

Tim majored in Advanced Warp Theory with minors in Systems Engineering and Starship
Navigation at the Academy. He graduated the top of his class and has won four medals while in command of Dover Squadron, an elite unit of Academy Pilots and Flight Specialists. |

There were several incidents where aboard the
USS Pendragon, Tim sustained several injuries during combat situations. The most notable was a broken shoulder, which was reconstructed by the Chief Medical Officer aboard the Pendragon at the time. |
