// Family History
  Jennifer Selar was born on Betazed. Her mother, a current Starfleet Lieutenant and Medical Officer, gave birth to Jennifer while she was attending a wedding for her sister. Although, doctors speculated that Jennifer would be born at this time, her mother ignored their warnings and went to Betazed.

Jennifer’s mother wanted Jennifer to be born aboard her Starship, the USS United, but of course that did not happen. But Jennifer was raised aboard the USS United. She helped the Engineering Department a great deal, finding it very fascinating.

Jennifer then began to study Engineering and loved it! She could not get enough of it. But when she joined the Academy she slacked off in her studies, she thought partying was more important. Because Jennifer slacked off she was removed from the Engineering Program at the Academy. She then tried to get back in but she was not accepted. The only choice she has was either Tactical or Psychology. She chose psychology and began studying in that.

After Jennifer graduated the Academy she did not know what ship she wanted to join. She sent out many requests and out of a few responses she chose the Cherokee to be the ship she started out on. Jennifer was suppose to be an Assistant Counselor, assisting the Senior Counselor with paper work and maybe sit in during sessions. But a few days before the Cherokee arrived she was asked if she would like to take the Senior Counseling Position. She quickly accepted and joined the Cherokee.

During her time aboard the Cherokee Jennifer met many great friends. She went on many Away Missions and had sessions with many different crewmembers. Jennifer was also promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade and given an award on the Cherokee.

Then a day came when Jennifer got some very bad news. Her mother was very ill and may die in a few days. Because of this Jennifer left the Cherokee in a hurry not really telling anyone where she was going. She then spent time visiting her mother.

During this time Jennifer met someone for the first time in her life, her father. Her father met her mother one day years ago. He did a “one night stand” type of thing with her mother leaving her mother to raise Jennifer all on her own. Jennifer was reluctant to speaking to her father until her mother passed away. After this Jennifer began speaking to her father and her brother and they formed a close bond.

Finally the day came when Jennifer put in a request to rejoin Starfleet. Her request was accepted and she specifically asked to be assigned back to the Cherokee as Counselor. Her request was accepted and she is now currently serving the Cherokee as Counselor, yet again.

She began to serve on the Cherokee again. She had only seen a few people when she was contacted by Starfleet Command, she was informed it was an urgent message. Jennifer went to her office and read over the message. The message informed her that she has been transferred to the Pharaoh as Counselor. She was not sure why this transfer happened but she accepted it and left for the Pharaoh.

Jennifer only served aboard the Pharaoh for a short time. She was not expecting serving such a short term but Starfleet Command recalled her again. This annoyed her slightly because the continued to change her ship, this was not a good way to get to know a crew.

Jennifer discovered that she was made an Ambassador. She could not believe this, she had worked towards that goal for awhile but did not expect to earn that title for awhile. Because of this she was assigned to the Federation Embassy on the Klingon home-world.

She served as an Ambassador for while but then was called back by Starfleet again. They wanted Jennifer to take a break from Ambassador for the time being, for a year, and then she could come back. Until then Jennifer was asked if she would accept any assignment, she agreed not knowing that she would be assigned as Operations Manager aboard the Geneva, this is a new position for Jennifer, this is only a minor she earned.
